Yes, I officially lust after Reyes. Eleven books in and he’s still so damn hot and intriguing. Darynda Jones has the magic to keep her characters interesting still after all this time. Of course, there are a lot of similarities in each book, but I think that’s part of the appeal. You know, the witty remarks and the banter between Charlie and Cookie…it would not be the same without it.
And the food, I just love the food in the series. How Darynda Jones describes the dishes and especially how Charlie craves for food when she’s hungry, it makes my mouth water. So, this time I made huevos rancheros. For the first time in my life.
Darynda Jones has done it again. I absolutely loved the Eleventh Grave in the Moonlight!
Darynda Jones has amazing talent. For eleven books now she has kept the story of Charley and Reyes going on and you’d think that it’s all repetition by now, but no, she has an endless supply of twists and turns for the plot to keep the readers interested.
In this book Amber has a stalker, Reyes meets his brother and the secrets of the Fosters are finally revealed. As usual, Charley ends up in big trouble and there are clouds in Cookie’s and Ubie’s paradise too. And Osh has a big part in the story too and he’s quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in the series.
Charley learns more of her godly powers and who else is to teach other than Reyes. They just might be the hottest couple in the paranormal world. And all this learning to be god and controlling and exploring the powers leads to one of the hottest, sexiest scenes I’ve ever read (and I’ve read many).
And just when you think that you’ve read it all, at the end of the book Darynda Jones throws a curve ball that you never saw coming. There’s never been a cliffhanger like this before! I’m already eagerly waiting for the pt.12
