Legacy of Light continues straight from the last pages of Prophecy of Darkness. The fellowship has grown and their task seems impossible. Betrayal is everywhere and allies are only a few. But they are determined, returning the magic to Dreach-Sciene is what they swore they’d do.
Doubt, hope, anger, joy… Legacy of Light is a turmoil of emotions, thrilling fantasy, that will continue in the third book.
Legends of the Tri-Gard is a compelling fantasy series, and I love it. The many layers of the world and characters keep the story exciting and the surprise twists in the plot ensure, that it is impossible to let go of the book before the very last word.
The second book in the series, Legacy of Light, continues the fellowship’s journey on their quest to return the magic to Dreach-Sciene. I loved the character development in this book. How Trystan grows from Toha into the king his people need. How Rissa unleashes her true self, she is something fierce, I promise. And Davi, I feel so sorry for him. The betrayal and manipulation has left him confused and he is uncertain, what is true anymore. The cast of characters is vast but everyone plays an important part, ensuring the effortless flow of the story and adding important layers to the tale.
In my opinion, Legacy of Light has darker tones compared to Prophecy of Darkness but there are glints of hope, fragile faith in future where the dark magic is defeated. I’m looking forward to the next installment in the series, intrigued by the destiny of Trystan, Rissa, Davi and all the others, who have accompanied them on their journey.
